3-2 ATS PAC-10 GAME OF THE WEEK

3-3 ATS Pac 10 games Last Week, 22-14 for the year on all lined PAC 10 Games

I feel confident this week….I felt confident last week….I feel confident every week…then the games are played! I feel strongly about every Pac-10 game this week and I’d feel comfortable picking any one as my "Game of the week", so take your pick. Here's mine.

GAME OF THE WEEK (WEEK 6)

WASH -1 AT UCLA

Washington has quietly been rising the ranks after its poor showing to start the year at Ohio State. One reason is the marginally talented teams they have been playing and which they have outscored 108 to 44. All three were also at home.

UCLA on the other hand, at 2-2 has shown little life on offense, averaging 16 ppg this year in the usually high flying Pac-10. UCLA has a strong defense, ranked 14th in the nation, however, they have not really played against any dynamic offensive units. Washington’s defense is no slouch, ranked one notch below UCLA at 15.

Is Washington’s offense dynamic? Well, I think they are better offensively than Oklahoma. Cody Pickett, Reggie Williams, and Rich Alexis are as good of 123 punch the Pac 10 has to offer. While the passing offense was greatly hyped pre-season, it has been the rushing game of late that has carried the team, averaging nearly 200 yards per game since Ohio State. But don’t think Washington doesn’t have the weapons to light up UCLA’s secondary…they simply haven’t been tested yet.

There is a better chance that Washington’s defense keeps UCLA’s offense at bay, than vice versa. I believe the better team wins here, and the better team is Washington. And I predict they better the number by more than the touchdown.

Final Score – Washington 27 - UCLA 17.

Rest of the Pac 10

Tonight the web-footed, interception passing, pass dropping Oregon Ducks go into the City by the Salt Lake for another Pac-10/MWC showdown on National TV. Don’t think for a second Urban Meyer doesn’t have this team primed to open up a can of whoopass on the Ducks. The problem is, they won’t. Oregon has way more talent than Utah has seen all year, and I expect the Ducks to give Utah everything they want. Better QB’s, faster receivers and running backs, bigger offensive line. Utah will play into Oregon’s hand if they try to run the ball too much, you beat Oregon through the air, and I don’t think Utah has the skill people to rattle Oregon’s secondary. I will definitely be playing the Ducks in the 1st half, as they have been a 1st half team for their first four wins. I’ll take them for the game too.

Oregon State. What can I say, my two “Game of the week" losses this year were betting for or against this team, so you might want to fade me here. Bottom line is this, Oregon State is a much better football team than Cal. Now, I know Mike Riley is going to screw up at least one more game this year (I loved that “deer in the headlight” comment by the Fox broadcasters last week), but I don’t think this is it. This is a good spot for Oregon State, as Cal blew their wad against USC, will not be expecting OSU to be as good as USC (which they are, especially on offense), and see this as a classic let-down spot. Oregon State wins and covers, despite Derrick Anderson’s three interceptions and Mike Riley calling 20 running plays to Stephen Jackson up the middle for no gain.

So Arizona finally fired Mackovic….WTF took so long? I’m sure the players are relieved, but they are still the same team they were before he got fired. Inspiration only goes so far…and this is a very bad football team going against the Pac-10 elite. Washington State could play down to their competition and perhaps have a let-down game after rightly disposing of the overrated Ducks. But it is homecoming, and Washington State usually likes to put on a good show for the home folks. Besides, what else is their to do in Pullman? I’m taking WSU.

Who am I missing. Oh Yeah, Arizona State…Arizona ****ing State. This is a bad team folks, a really bad team. They are SLOW, Walter is misfiring, and they get to try to right the ship against a pissed off, hungry USC defense. Good luck. Arizona State will be lucky to see the end-zone, at least the Arizona State team I watched the last two weeks. I do think that USC OC Norm Chow is the most overrated coordinator in college football, so maybe USC only scores 21 points, but that should be enough, because Arizona State sucks…(watch them put it all together this week). I’m Taking USC to regain their footing as the team to beat in the Pac 10.

Final Predictions:
Oregon -3 at Utah: Oregon 37 – Utah 27
WSU -29 vs. Arizona: WSU 44 – Arizona 13
Cal -1 vs. Oregon State: OSU 27 – Cal 21
USC -11 at Arizona St.: USC 34 – ASU 17

Good Luck to all.

Value your opinions on this Conf. Hope you`re on the money because I`m on 3 of em already; OSU, Or, & Wash. Leary of Az. I know they`re crap but fear a max effort for new coach and letdown on WASU off big win. Best of luck to both of us. I`m on Mich big! Also think my Goofers in a tuff spot here, Mi. on tap 2nd rd gm and on grass. I think 12 is too much? Have a great wkend.

Silver,

I'm a converted Goofers fan....hope they win the Big 11. They have some studs on that offensive unit. Love that they are still flying under the radar, although it might have caught up with them this week as the line is pretty hefty. Something about Mason bugs me too, I don't know what it is.

I'm all over Michigan myself, if for nothing else, these guys want to beat the shit out of Iowa after last year's game.

How about Wisconsin/Penn State? Isn't this kind of a mirror game from last week's Minn/Penn St. game, except Wisconsin has a decent passing offense to go with their rushing offense? I haven't bet it yet, because the new Penn State QB is the unknown variable, but these are the games that Wisconsin seems to win. And then they will lose at like Northwestern or Indiana.

The first post of this thread is one of the best that I have seen on this forum. Not only do I agree with what was said, there is a lot of truth and good insight given. I follow the pac 10 also and you definitely hit every game on the head. I hope we both cash in on these games. Good Luck!

Some of the best lines on the board are in the Pac 10 this week.
I hope you're right, because I'm on 3 of your same plays.

Jeez we`re in trouble now we have the Ozark Kid on board (kidding)! I took NW for a small hit @ +12. As far as PSU & Wisky goes I`m inclined to pass. I can tell you Mills PSU QB is out according to ESPN, last wk when he was hurt we were kiling them. Robinson came in and turned the gm around, Mn was VERY lucky. Also Davis Wi. RB has been nicked up. Could be w/Wisc. able to game plan for Robinson will handle him better than we did. LOL
